FinOpsMind is a cloud financial management community platform and professional services company based in Luxembourg. References to "we", "us", or "FinOpsMind" in this policy refer to the organisation operating finopsmind.com.

2. What data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Account data: name, email address, profile picture (provided via OAuth sign-in through Microsoft or Google)
  • Profile data: job title, company, location, bio, certifications (optionally provided by you)
  • Content data: questions, answers, discussions, comments, and votes you submit
  • Waitlist data: email address and service interest (if you sign up for our waitlist)
  • Usage data: pages visited, search queries, session data collected via standard web server logs
  • Communication data: messages sent via our contact form

3. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

  • Contract: processing necessary to provide the community platform service
  • Legitimate interests: improving the platform, preventing abuse, security monitoring
  • Consent: email communications, optional cookies — you can withdraw consent at any time

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Microsoft Azure — hosting, storage, and AI services (data processed in EU regions)
  • Microsoft / Google — OAuth authentication providers (subject to their own privacy policies)
  • Authorities, when required by law

6. Data retention

Account and content data is retained for as long as your account is active. Waitlist data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR, you have the right to: access your data, rectify inaccurate data, request erasure, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise any right, contact privacy@finopsmind.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNPD (Luxembourg data protection authority).

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication (session management) and your preferences (theme). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You can manage cookie preferences using the banner displayed on your first visit.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be notified via the platform or by email. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
